Getting started

Discord bot setup

Follow these steps from top to bottom after you create your server.

Sign in to pick one of your servers and personalize this guide, or follow the steps below as a general setup walkthrough.

  1. Set up the server in the edit page. Create your game server first on the new server page, then open that server's edit page in Server Time.

  2. Invite the Discord bot to your Discord server using this Discord bot invite link.

  3. Add the Discord bot details to the server details page. Paste the Discord server ID into Guild ID, paste the voice channel ID into Voice Channel ID, and paste the text channel ID into Text Channel ID for your server.

To copy a Discord server ID or channel ID, you must first enable Developer Mode in your settings. Once enabled, you can right-click on desktop or long-press on mobile on the server or channel to find the option to copy its ID.

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode

Before IDs can be copied, you need to enable the developer setting.

On Desktop/Web:

  • Click the gear icon (User Settings) in the bottom-left corner near your username.
  • Select Advanced in the left sidebar under App Settings.
  • Turn on Developer Mode.

On Mobile (iOS/Android):

  • Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner.
  • Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner.
  • Scroll down and tap Advanced.
  • Turn on Developer Mode.

Step 2: Copy the Server ID

After enabling Developer Mode, you can copy the server's ID.

On Desktop/Web:

  • Navigate to the server list on the far left of the app.
  • Right-click on the server's icon.
  • Select Copy Server ID.

On Mobile (iOS/Android):

  • Navigate to the server you want the ID from.
  • Tap the server name at the top.
  • Alternatively, long-press the server icon and tap More Options.
  • Scroll down and tap Copy Server ID.

Step 3: Copy the Channel ID

You can follow similar steps to copy a channel's ID.

On Desktop/Web:

  • Navigate to the channel you want the ID for.
  • Right-click on the channel name in the channel list.
  • Select Copy Channel ID.

On Mobile (iOS/Android):

  • Navigate to the channel you want the ID for.
  • Long-press on the channel name.
  • Scroll down and tap Copy Channel ID.

The ID number is then copied to your clipboard and ready to be pasted where needed.
